Roadmap

What we are building next for your farm.

New features are on the way for the E-Farmer mobile and desktop apps: planning your whole livestock farm with Farm Science, learning farming in a training simulator, adding any crop you grow, and recording the rain on your farm. Here is what they do, why they matter and when to expect them.

Dates are targets and may move. Follow the blog and the app for updates.

Farm Planning & Farm Science

Plan your whole livestock farm, not just a plot

In development

Draw your farm land once, then place everything on it: animal houses, feed store, water tank, quarantine, manure area and room to grow. E-Farmer tells you how much space each part needs for the number of animals you want to raise.

Why it matters

Most costly mistakes happen before the first animal arrives: a house too small for the flock, no room for a feed store or a sick bay, a water tank that runs dry. Sizing the farm right from the start protects animal health and your money.

What you get

  • Know the land and building size you need for 500, 2,000 or 10,000 birds
  • See if your land fits your project, or how much more space you need
  • Get house dimensions, feed store and water tank sizes, with the reasons behind them
  • Warnings when a house becomes too crowded as your animals grow
  • A clear 2D layout of your farm you can show to a builder or a partner
  • Works offline, like the rest of E-Farmer

How it will work

  1. 1

Already set up? Draw your land, mark your existing houses and stores, and continue as usual.

  2. 2

Starting a farm? Choose your species, number of animals and rearing system: E-Farmer proposes the areas, sizes and an estimated cost.

  3. 3

Adjust the layout on your land, then apply it: your planned buildings appear in your farm, ready to track.

  4. 4

Every day, E-Farmer checks space, water and feed against your real batches and warns you before problems happen.

Release plan

  1. Available sinceOctober 2026

    Farm Science sizing Available

The planner works out the land, house size, feed, water and workers for 13 kinds of farm animal: laying hens, broilers, village chickens, guinea fowl, ducks, pigs, goats, sheep, beef cattle, dairy cows, dairy buffalo, rabbits and fish (tilapia, catfish, carp). It uses real market prices for 7 countries, kept up to date with the prices farmers enter once our team has checked them (a price with no recent market source is marked Estimate), plus local breeds and the best month to start. It shows the money you need and when it comes back.

  2. ExpectedDecember 2026

    Checks and alerts In development

Already in Today: cold night, heat and heavy rain alerts for your farm, brooding temperatures by age, feed running low or missing, and crop jobs that follow the weather (check after a storm, no watering when rain is coming). Next: crowding and water warnings that follow your animals as they grow.

  3. ExpectedDecember 2026

    Farm preparation In development

The guided planner is available: from your project to sizes, costs and payback, build or rent, and a plan you edit keeps every answer. Next: a proposed layout on your own land.

  4. ExpectedNovember 2026

Farm land and facilities In development

Your animals can already live on a plot or part of one, and each batch records its house: type, heating, ventilation, thermometer. Next: the main land of each farm, with houses, stores and tanks placed on it and each batch in its house.

  5. ExpectedJanuary 2027

    Printable plans In development

Every species is already in the planner. Next: a printable farm layout with a materials estimate.

E-Farmer Academy

Learn farming by running a virtual farm

In design

A training mode inside the app: you raise a virtual flock or crop through a full cycle in accelerated time, make the daily decisions, buy what you need with training credits, and see the consequences of every choice before you try it on a real farm.

Why it matters

On a real farm, a missed vaccination or a forgotten day of water costs animals and money. In the Academy, the same mistake costs nothing, and you learn why it matters, when to act and what never to miss.

What you get

  • A 6-week broiler cycle played in about one to two weeks, at your own pace
  • Short lessons and videos before each step, then decisions and quizzes
  • Farm health, money and discipline scores that show what you do well and what to improve
  • A clear review after every mistake: what happened and how to avoid it
  • Training credits to buy chicks, feed and medicine, separate from your real PayBox
  • Badges, and later partner rewards for players who complete their journey

How it will work

  1. 1

Choose a journey: broilers first, then layers, maize, tomatoes, pigs and mixed farming.

  2. 2

Follow the chapters: plan your farm, prepare, start production, protect your farm, harvest and sell, review.

  3. 3

The virtual clock runs while you play; deadlines like vaccination days are real in the game, and missing them affects your farm.

  4. 4

Fail a chapter? Review what went wrong, replay a short lesson and try again, without losing your whole journey.

Release plan

  1. ExpectedJanuary 2027

    Broiler journey In design

The complete broiler cycle from preparation to sale, offline, with the training wallet and shop.

  2. ExpectedJanuary 2027

    Progress and rewards In design

Your progress saved to your account, badges, and the first partner rewards.

  3. ExpectedJanuary 2027

    More journeys In design

Layers, maize, tomatoes, pigs, mixed farming, and the desktop app.

Any crop you grow

Your crop is not in the list? Add it

In design

E-Farmer knows 21 crops in detail. When yours is missing, type its name: E-Farmer prepares its growth stages, daily jobs, pest checks and harvest for your country, from farm research sources, and the crop works like any other, offline too.

Why it matters

Farmers grow far more crops than any app can list in advance: local leaves, spices, fruits, tubers. Without stages and jobs for your crop, the app cannot remind you what to do or warn you in time. Now no crop is left out.

What you get

  • Type the name you use, like macabo or ndolé: E-Farmer finds the crop it already knows before preparing a new one
  • Growth stages, daily jobs, pest checks and harvest timing for your country
  • Built from farm research and extension sources (FAO, CGIAR, national institutes), listed with the crop
  • Clearly marked as prepared by AI until our team has checked it, with no product doses before then
  • Works offline once prepared, in local mode as with an online account
  • Report a wrong tip in one tap; once checked, the crop joins the app for every farmer

How it will work

  1. 1

In a new crop cycle, choose "My crop is not in the list" and type its name.

  2. 2

E-Farmer checks whether it already knows the crop under another name, or has already prepared it for your region.

  3. 3

If not, it prepares the crop in a few minutes: you can leave the screen, and a notification tells you when it is ready.

  4. 4

Look at the stages and tips, confirm, and follow your cycle with jobs and alerts like any crop.

Release plan

  1. ExpectedFebruary 2027

    Crop requests In design

Ask for a missing crop on the phone app, get it prepared for your country, and use it right away, marked as prepared by AI.

  2. ExpectedMarch 2027

    Review and release In design

Our team checks each prepared crop with its sources; approved crops join the app for every farmer, and your cycles move to them with nothing lost.

  3. ExpectedApril 2027

    Desktop app In design

Ask for a missing crop on Windows too.

Rainfall records

Know how much rain your farm really got

In design

Today E-Farmer reads the weather forecast: it warns you of heavy rain and skips watering jobs when rain is due or has just fallen. Next, you will record the rain from your own rain gauge, see the totals of each week, month and season, and know when the rains have truly started.

Why it matters

Rain decides when to plant, when to water and how big the harvest will be, and a forecast for the nearest town is not the rain that fell on your field. Your own records show what really happened and help you plan the next season.

What you get

  • Note the millimetres of your rain gauge in a few seconds, for the farm or for one plot
  • Daily, weekly, monthly and season totals, compared with past years once you have them
  • Know when the rainy season has really started, before you plant
  • Your recorded rain counts for watering jobs, alongside the forecast
  • Dry spells shown on each crop cycle, to explain a weak harvest
  • Works offline, like the rest of E-Farmer

How it will work

  1. 1

Place a rain gauge on your farm, or use a simple can with straight sides.

  2. 2

After each rain, open the farm and note the millimetres, or that it stayed dry.

  3. 3

E-Farmer adds up the totals and shows them next to the forecast and your crop cycles.

  4. 4

When enough rain has fallen in a few days, E-Farmer tells you the soil is ready to plant.

Release plan

  1. ExpectedDecember 2026

Forecast rain in jobs and alerts In development

Already in Today: heavy rain alerts, no watering when rain is coming or has just fallen, and plant and drainage checks after a storm.

  2. ExpectedFebruary 2027

    Rain gauge records In design

Note the rain on the farm or on a plot, with daily, monthly and season totals, offline.

  3. ExpectedMarch 2027

Season start and dry spells In design

Know when the rains have started before you plant, and see the dry spells of each crop cycle.
