In short
- E-Farmer helps you keep farm records and gives guidance. Decisions about your animals, crops, workers and money remain yours.
- AI answers, health recommendations, estimates, weather and map measurements can be wrong. Always check with a veterinarian or other qualified professional.
- Wallets, expenses and payroll are records you keep; they do not move money. PayBox is a prepaid balance for marketplace purchases and cannot currently be withdrawn.
- Marketplace sales, land listings, services and vet bookings are agreements between users. E-Farmer is not a party to them.
- In local (offline) mode your data lives only on your device, with no sync or backup. Keeping it safe is up to you.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of E-Farmer (also called Pro E-Farmer): our website, the E-Farmer apps for iPhone, Android and Windows, our web dashboard and our Telegram bot (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The Services are operated by Mboasoft Solutions SARLU, a single-member limited liability company incorporated in Cameroon under the OHADA Uniform Act on commercial companies, with a share capital of 900,000 FCFA and its registered office in Douala, Cameroon. In these terms, "E-Farmer", "we" and "us" mean Mboasoft Solutions SARLU.
If you use E-Farmer on behalf of a farm, cooperative or company, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. The Services
E-Farmer lets you record and manage livestock, crops, plots, feed, health, tasks, equipment, teams, payroll, expenses and sales, and gives you reports, estimates and an AI assistant (Sora). It also offers community features (articles, forums, stories, land and service listings, chats), a marketplace, and a prepaid PayBox balance.
The apps work in two modes: cloud mode, where your data is stored on our servers and shared with your team, and local mode, where it stays on your device (see Local mode). Some features are only available in cloud mode, and features may differ between the mobile, Windows and web versions.
We are constantly improving E-Farmer and may add, change or remove features. We will try to give notice of changes that significantly affect you.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password and devices secure. You are responsible for activity under your account; tell us straight away at [email protected] if you suspect misuse.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, their terms also apply to that sign-in.
Farm teams
A farm owner can add team members, create accounts for staff and choose what each role can see and do. The owner is responsible for the people they add, the access they give, and for removing access when someone leaves.
4. Your data and other people’s information
You keep ownership of the records and content you put into E-Farmer. You give us permission to store, process, display and back up that content as needed to provide the Services to you and your team, including through the AI features described in our Privacy Policy.
When you enter information about other people (such as workers, team members, customers or suppliers) you confirm that you have the right to do so and that you have told them how it will be used, as required by the law that applies to you. Do not upload information you have no right to share.
5. Local (offline) mode
In local mode, your farm data is stored only on your computer or phone. In particular:
- it is not synced with your online account or any other device;
- we do not back it up and cannot recover it if your device is lost, damaged or reset;
- local profiles have no separate password, so anyone using your device account can open them;
- uninstalling the Windows app does not delete the data from your computer.
You are responsible for protecting your device and keeping your own copies of important records.
6. AI, health guidance and estimates
The Sora assistant, business plans and other AI features generate answers automatically, using your farm records and third-party AI services. Answers can be incomplete, out of date or wrong.
- Not professional advice. Nothing in E-Farmer is veterinary, medical, agronomic, legal, financial or tax advice.
- Animal health. Disease and medication information comes from a reference catalogue and from AI answers. E-Farmer does not diagnose animals. Always consult a qualified veterinarian before treating animals, and follow medication labels and withdrawal periods.
- Estimates. Feed and water needs, production and egg forecasts, breeding windows and other calculations are estimates based on general data and what you record.
- Third-party data. Weather, exchange rates, maps and addresses come from other providers and may be inaccurate or unavailable.
- Measurements. Plot areas and locations depend on your device's GPS and on what you draw; they are approximate and not a legal survey.
You remain responsible for decisions you make using the Services.
7. Wallets, expenses and payroll
Wallets (including "Expenses", "Incomes", "Investment" and "Loans"), expenses, salaries and payroll in E-Farmer are records you keep. They do not hold or move money, are not bank accounts, and E-Farmer does not lend money. Any bank details you note are for your reference only.
You alone are responsible for paying your workers and suppliers and for complying with employment, wage, tax and accounting laws. Check reports against your own records before relying on them.
8. PayBox and payments
PayBox is a prepaid balance, held in US dollars, that you can top up with real money and use to pay for orders in the E-Farmer marketplace.
- Top-ups are processed by our payment partners (such as Stripe, NotchPay and PayUnit) or as in-app purchases through the App Store or Google Play. Their terms apply, and they may charge fees.
- PayBox is not a bank account or electronic-money account, earns no interest, and cannot currently be withdrawn or transferred to another user.
- In-app purchases are subject to Apple's or Google's refund rules. If you think a top-up was charged in error, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days.
- Prices in other currencies are converted for display and may change with exchange rates.
Paid plans
New accounts can try E-Farmer free for 14 days on the Starter plan, within its limits. To keep using it after the trial, choose a paid plan. Before you are charged, the price, billing period and renewal terms will be shown in the app and you will need to confirm. Prices on our website are for information and may change.
9. Marketplace, listings and services
The marketplace, land listings, service-provider listings and veterinary bookings connect users with each other. Sales, rentals, services and consultations are agreements between the users involved. E-Farmer is not a party to them and does not own, inspect or guarantee the products, land or services offered.
- Sellers and providers must describe what they offer honestly, have the right to sell it, follow the laws that apply (including on animal health, food safety and permits), and deliver as promised.
- Buyers should check offers before buying. Cash on delivery is at the buyer's and seller's own risk.
- Ratings and reviews are the opinions of other users.
- Disputes should first be settled between the users. We may help where we can, but we are not responsible for the outcome.
10. Community content and conduct
You are responsible for what you post: articles, comments, forum posts, stories, listings, photos, videos, reviews and messages. By posting public content you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt (for example resize) and share it within the Services and to promote E-Farmer. You can delete your content, after which it will stop being shown, although copies may remain for a while in backups.
You must not use the Services to:
- post anything illegal, false or misleading, hateful, harassing, violent or sexually explicit;
- offer illegal, stolen or dangerous goods, or animals or medicines in breach of the law;
- infringe others' intellectual property or privacy, or impersonate anyone;
- send spam, scams or malware, or try to access accounts or data that are not yours;
- disrupt, overload, copy or reverse engineer the Services, or scrape them without permission.
You can report content or listings to us. We may remove content and restrict accounts that break these terms.
11. Referrals and partner program
Referral codes, reward points and partner tiers are described in the app and may change or end. Points and commissions have no cash value unless we confirm a payout to you in writing, and we may cancel rewards obtained through fraud or abuse.
12. Updates and availability
The apps update themselves: the Windows app downloads new versions in the background and installs them when you restart it, and the mobile apps receive updates through the app stores and over the air. Keep them updated to get fixes and keep using all features.
The Services rely on internet connections and on third-party services (such as Google, payment providers, notification services and Telegram). We do our best to keep everything running but cannot guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.
13. Intellectual property
E-Farmer, its logo, software, design and reference content (such as breed, feed and medication catalogues) belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the apps for your farming activities under these terms. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the Services or their content without our permission.
14. Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using E-Farmer and delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, put other users at risk or are required to be closed by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to download your reports.
15. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of information and results, or that the Services will be free of errors or interruptions.
16. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, E-Farmer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of animals, crops, harvests, income, profits or data, arising from your use of the Services, from relying on AI answers, recommendations or estimates, from transactions between users, or from third-party services.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
You agree to compensate E-Farmer for claims by others that result from your content, your listings or sales, or your breach of these terms.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon, including the OHADA Uniform Acts, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve it amicably. If we cannot, the competent courts of Douala, Cameroon, have jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live still apply.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date and, for significant changes, tell you in the apps or by email. If you keep using the Services after the changes take effect, you accept the new terms.
